More on Obesity, Depression and Prana Suppression

A nearly 800 strong study suggests that obese teenage girls may be more likely
than their thinner peers to develop depression or anxiety disorders as adults.
Teenagers followed for 20 years, girls who were obese as teens had a roughly
four-times higher risk of clinical depression or anxiety disorders in adulthood.
But there was no such link among boys.

In an allied study, Adult obesity is known to raise the risk of a number of health problems such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease. For children, though, the most immediate consequences of obesity are often emotional and social, like not being accepted by their peers.
It's not clear from this study why obese teenage girls had a higher risk of mental health problems later in life.
But based on other research, social stigmatization and teasing may play a role in some cases.
It also makes sense that girls would be more vulnerable than boys. Girls and women face more social pressure to be thin, and at any weight, girls tend to have a poorer body image than their male counterparts do. Still, more research is needed to understand the reasons for the link between teen obesity and subsequent depression and anxiety in girls.

The findings are based on 776 boys and girls who were between the ages of 9 and
18 when they entered the study in 1983. Over the next 20 years, they were
assessed three times for major depression and anxiety. In general, the risk of
these disorders was higher among girls who were obese between the ages of 12
and 18, even when other factors, such as family income, parents' education and
parents' history of emotional problems, were taken into account. Teenagers who
are concerned about their weight, or about any depression or anxiety symptoms,
should talk to their parents or another trusted adult.

Depression & obesity research study links.

The following are descriptions of just some of the research studies done in recent years.

  • In 2003, Am. Psychiatric assoc. Dr Paul Bradey found that 25% of those
who were obese AND had depression, when treated with antidepressants
lost 10% of their weight, whereas 51% of those researched lost 5% of
    their overall weight
  • DEPRESSION IN OBESITY IMPROVES WITH WEIGHT LOSS 26 September 2003 listed in medical observer weekly.
    • Australian researchers have cast further doubts on the so-called 'fat and jolly' hypothesis, after finding that obesity is associated with depression, and this depression improves with weight loss.
The Monash University researchers assessed 487 obese people who were admitted to a surgical weight-loss programme. More than half recorded moderate and major depressive symptoms before surgery.
When symptoms were measured again after surgery, participants — particularly women and younger people — recorded significantly lower depression scores. This decrease was sustained over the 4 year follow-up period.
One in 5 patients were taking antidepressant medications preoperatively. This figure dropped to one in 9 in the year after surgery (Archives of Internal Medicine 2003; 163: 2058-65).
'The significant and sustained fall in mean [depression] scores with weight loss supports the hypothesis that severe obesity and/or associated conditions cause or aggravate depression,' the researchers said.
Younger people and obese females were more likely to have higher levels of depression, but there was no association between depression scores and measures of weight distribution, fasting insulin level, insulin resistance, or diseases associated with metabolic syndrome such as type 2 diabetes and hypertension.

Prana suppression, Depression & Obesity

It has come to our attention of late that the  link between depression & obesity has been sorely missing for some years.

Yes some studies have shown mild links here but have been unsure as to whether the depression is the CAUSE of the obesity OR the result of obesity.
So cause & effect being unclear, at best, then seems to have confounded researchers & therefore clouded reasonable attacks on this connection & therefore treatments.

It is our contention that the role of depression can severely limit one's battle with the bulge IF it is not dealt with effectively.

Indeed we would suggest that upto 51% of the obese ARE obese BECAUSE they're depressed!

More very very soon

A few facts about depression in Australia

  • At any given time One in Six Australian men will suffer depression.
  • Australian Women are twice as likely to suffer this illness than their msale counterparts and tends to occur in younger than older women.
  • The youth of Today suffer depression at a much earlier age than their grandparents ever did. (Some sources quote down from the age of 30 to 15 yrs old today. )
  • Once upon a time it was largely an issue in the mentally disturbed, the aged, the diseased & the incarcerated.
  • In youth, Depression & Anxiety are THE MOST common mental illnesses by far (Although some would argue that this 'state-of-mind' is a perpetual state of just being teenager)
  • 20% of the young will have a significant mental health event by maturity.
  • Around 5% of the young experience depression severe enough to warrant medical intervention.
  • Apart from the recognised Social & body-image issues, women tend to be more prone to depression & anxiety due to the hormonal fluctuations Doctors describe as seen in Post Natal depression, Pre-menstrual disorder AND Menopausal issues.
  • Australin Males are 4x more likely to take their depression thru to suicide than our Women.
  • Risk factors for men above the age of 65 to suicide are Isolation, pain, illness  & death of a spouse.
  • In the past 3 decades the youth suicide rate for 15-25 yo males has trebled.
  • STUNNING stuff I'm sure you'll agree.

Obesity, Depression & Prana suppression

One of THE GREATEST UNSUNG aspects of the obese & their struggle with their weight lies in the Mental AND Emotional aspects to this issue.

Indeed one could also argue about the issues of Addiction, Depresssion & Obesity connections as well.

So, if we're going to argue about these ideas we should first come up with basic definitions so we know what we're all agruing/discussing in the first place.

So here goes:

Major depressive disorder or simply 'Depression', is a mental disorder characterized by a pervasive low mood, loss of interest in one's usual activities and diminished ability to experience pleasure. When severe, thoughts of suicide are not uncommon often bourne out of an ability for one to consider that they 'are-stiuck' in the now AND cannot even distantly consider 'a-tomorrow' at all.

Diagnosis is made if a person has suffered one or more major depressive events. The onset is usually in early- to mid-adulthood & diagnosis is based on the patient's self-reported experiences and observed behavior.
There is no laboratory test for major depression, although Doctors often test for physical conditions, such as hormonal or Thyroid disorders, infections (such as HIV or Spyhilis) or even Epilepsy patterns are tested for that may cause similar symptoms before arriving at a diagnosis.

The course of illness often varies widely in that it can be a once-in-a-lifetime event or have multiple recurrences. Further, it can appear either gradually or suddenly; and can either last for a few months or be a life-long disorder.

Is a Prana Rich Diet TRULY Spiritual Nutrition?

Is honouring the life force through our Prana diet, truly Spiritual nutrition? What really IS the life-force Force anyway? After many years of our Prana quest, we conclude that most Westerners of a religious bent would call it… The Holy ghost or Holy spirit.(Please, we are NOT blaspheming here.)

Is honouring the life force thru our Prana diet, truly Spiritual nutrition?

What really IS the 'life-force' Force & Spiritual nutrition anyway?

After many years of our Prana quest, we conclude that most Westerners of a religious bent would call it… The Holy ghost or Holy spirit.(Please, we are NOT blaspheming here.)

Western sources such as the Holy bible describe the creative force, known as God, as a Trinity… The Father, the Son & the Holy ghost. Indeed many of the major religions of the world also describe a supreme entity in a triune form too.

In simple terms, if we (humans) are the 'Son' from a loving 'Father' then the 'force' connecting us to 'him' IS-THE-Force-of-life OR Holy spirit

Further, many passages from the Bible describe the Holy spirit in terms such as:

  • The Divine 'comforter'
  • The Councelor
  • The Divine helper
  • The Strengthener
  • The Healer
  • OR in one Biblical passage- as the "Lord & Giver of Life".

Biblical instruction lists 9 properties that the 'fruit-of-the-Holy-Spirit' bestows:

  1. Love
  2. Patience
  3. Joy
  4. Gentleness
  5. Goodness
  6. Peace
  7. Faithfulness
  8. Self control
  9. Kindness…

The Bible goes on to comment: "These are properties of behaviour against which no mortal law is enacted"

In 'John', the gift of the Spirit is equivalent to: Eternal life, knowledge of God, power to obey, and communion with one another and with the Father.

Some Biblical scholars suggest: The Holy Spirit manifests these gifts by enabling a person to access his or her own innate abilities. Through the influence of the Holy Spirit a person sees more clearly the world around him or her and can use his or her mind and body in ways that exceed his or her previous capacity.

So folks: Just what is my point?

Well, if you can agree that the Bible(& other Religions) attempt to elucidate Spiritual matters, then most of these are the properties of health & healing-as fruits-of-the-spirit- are what my customers (& myself) experience as their own life force grows too.

So are we trying to make religious Zealots out of all my members? No!

Am I trying to create a 'cult' that will bow to my every demand? Heck No!

Are my remedies & dietary tools an effort to try & rip-off my members AND help me to retire to the beach at the luxurious 'Gold Coast' in Australia? Nope.

Just my way of doing some service for my fellow man BUT in a global way (Which of course the Internet provides).

So there you have it folks BUT the real-kicker here is that you do not even have to 'believe' in a creator. Indeed you-can-be-a-total AGNOSTIC, dis-believer, etc -Yet once you follow our Pranic Dietary tools AND use our Spice/Milk extract remedies then you too wil begin to see the 'real-healing-power' of your very-own life force/Prana or Chi (Or Holy spirit-if-you-like) to begin to heal you too!!

Now healing is simply applying Spiritual nutrition to allow a spiritual force to heal you AND by-and-large your belief-system will have little to do with it.(More on belief & the 3 minds of Man next time)

More obscure geopathic stresses blocking Prana

There are other forms of geopathic stresses which are MUCH more obscure, even tomost Natural therapists such as sleeping above:

  • Underground water courses
  • Fault lines in the earths crust below you
  • Ore bodies such as Oil, Coal fields, etc
  • Stray voltages leaking into the earth from 'High-voltage' power lines/grids
  • etc.

Some therapists do their own 'dowsing' to help concerned customers.  However, most are simply oblivious to these 'unseen' influences.

IF YOU have any concerns regading these issues then consult a qualified Feng shui practitioner(They understand Earth energies very well) OR simply ask at your local 'health-food' shop for contacts to these or other 'well-known' local folk who a 'known' for their expertise in these areas of understanding.

A closing remark regading all this Prana blocking 'field-stuff'.
After 26 years of Hands-on Practical Naturopathy observation AND experience have taught us much as to underlying patterns & traits which underlie symptoms.
My research would powerfully suggest that almost ALL folk who suffer from radiation-based issues are ADD.
Why? Because all ADD folk are VERY heightened to radiation sensitivities… From Solar/Lunar and-the-like, to Nuclear AND yes even Geopathic radiation sensitives.

Sub-terranian streams and Prana disturbance

The energy from subterranian watercourses can also interact with the energies of each of the energy grids AND hence our own Life force or Prana.

Where sleep is disturbed from this influence alone, we get issues of waking up feeling drained, lethargic & poor energy all day. Sleep does NOT refresh for these folk.

However it is possible for very dangerous places to be sleeping in. They are where two water veins intersect, or/and where water intersects with the Curry grid OR indeed with the Curry line on top of the Hartmann, and the water veins as well, as overlays.

I once had a 'death-defying' health disturbance by sleeping over this sort of combination energy for 2 weeks about 6 years ago.
I just could NOT get comfortable. For 5 days I tossed & turned constantly. Then on the 6th night I got a MASSIVE DOSE or Diarhea WITH Pain, Bloating, AND shakes & Shivers…. Literally 'I-thought-I-was-going-to DIE'!!!
I later learned that the man who once lived there, AND slept in the same location, DIED OF AGGRESSIVE PROSTATE CANCER!!

Hmmm, makes-you-think.

After 2 days AND nights of feeling 'near-death' IT FINALLY 'dawned upon me'… Shift your Bed, Glen!!! A shift of only about 1.4 metres SAVED-MY-LIFE.(I* jest* not*)
So, in part, I now can countenance the absolute-terror of what it must be like for those poor souls who die of diseases such as Cholera & the like…. Horrible.

The Hartmann grid & Prana obstruction.

*************************************************
Please remember when reading these posts, after 26 yrs of Naturopathic research, it is our contention that not only is the common 'middle-age spread' due to the aging process alone BUT also due to the almost myriad of issues -listed in these pages- which further serve to diminish it. We also note it is a particular property of the life force/Prana our cells can hold, that as it diminishes our body loses the capacity to maintain a healthy muscle to fat cell ratio. So in truth, getting fat as we age is simply a measure of the depletion of our life force itself.

***************************************

Most of us are very aware that the Earth is magnetic in nature. Yes we all know its magnetic characteristics well but few of us its electrical self. However basic science tells us that magnetism & electricity are totally inseperable therefore a spinning magnetic field creates electicity. As we have said elsewhere, the earth has its own electromagnetic grid pattern.

The most important is called the 'First Global Grid', also known as the Hartmann Grid,  which is said to comprise of parallel magnetic waves rising vertically from the ground in a grid-like  pattern.

Dr.Hartmann, an eminent German physician & discoverer, describes them as alternatively positive and negative, running from north to south and from east to west. He found that lines themselves are about 10 cm wide & vary in a north-south direction about 2 metres & 2.5 metres in an east-west direction.
The distances between these lines differ from area to area but
Dr. Hartmann believes that where two of what he calls 'negative' lines cross (Hartmann knot), irritations of the nervous system and rheumatic illnesses can occur. He has found that some twelve hours prior to an earthquake a weak secondary rays can be found, one on each side of the main wave, gathering in strength until they are the same as the central one.

Hartmanngrid.jpg

At the time of an earthquake the Hartmann grid distorts, taking some 1/2 hour to resume its former equilibrium. In addition he claims, at the more powerful crossing points of this system, there is a 50% increase of radioactivity.

So how does one use this information meaningfully?

Simple. If you or your children cannot get to sleep (inexplicably) OR are continually restless even sometimes waking with a bed in 'tatters' then it's likely you have this 'field' interacting with your own electromagnetic patterns.

In this case the least you can do is simply move your bed, say around 3-4 feet (1 metre) in any given direction. See how you feel after a week in this new position.
